Your Electricity Advisor is installed on your Smart meter using 3M Adhesive. However, this can become compromised if the original installation was not done correctly.
If you are able to connect to your Electricity Advisor via Bluetooth but receive "0" usage, this can mean that your Electricity Advisor is not installed over your Smart Meter's impulse light and is not able to read any data.
You can verify your Electricity Advisor's installation by going out to your Smart Meter and checking to see if your grey capture lens is placed over your Smart Meter's Impulse light:
the below image shows the Electricity Advisor sitting above the Impulse light; this is not a recommended installation method:
The below image is how your Electricity Advisor should be installed (specific to that model of Smart meter; your smart meter may look different and you can find a list of Smart meters here)
To reinstall your Electricity Advisor, first check to see where your Smart meter's Impulse light is. An impulse light is an LED that will flash intermittently based on how much Electricity you are currently using.
Once you have been able to identify your Smart meter's impulse light, please ensure that the Black bracket supplied with your Electricity Advisor is placed directly over the impulse light.
Place your Electricity Advisor's grey capture lens inside the black bracket.
Your Electricity Advisor will now be in the correct position and be ready for use.
